Over 45 years of expertise
It all began in Basel in 1979 with Lubex, the unique medical skin cleansing emulsion developed by company founder Christian H. Lutz in collaboration with dermatologists and successfully launched on the Swiss market. Lubex has been the market leader in basic therapy for skin conditions for over 45 years.
Since then, we have been firmly rooted in Therwil as a family business. Just like our promise to manufacture quality products that really work from head to toe. With Lubex anti-age treatments, we have also been applying our dermatological expertise to the field of dermo-cosmetics for fifteen years.

Dermatological expertise
Today, we are one of Switzerland's leading pharmaceutical companies in the field of dermatology and anti-aging. Nevertheless, we continue to drive innovation forward and never stand still. At our headquarters in Therwil near Basel, we have our own galenic development and manufacturing department. This is where we research and develop the products of the future. By using state-of-the-art galenics with dermatologically recognized active ingredients, Lubex anti-age has been setting standards in external anti-aging treatment for many years. Many independent scientific studies prove that external anti-aging treatments are effective against premature skin aging.
Galenic formulations
What good is the highest quality ingredient if it doesn't get to where it's supposed to work? How do the active ingredients need to be processed so that they can work effectively? This is the question that galenics deals with. Innovative galenic forms are characterized by optimal effectiveness and good tolerability. Good galenics and extensive experience are what make up Permamed's more than 45 years of dermatological expertise. Limiting the ingredients to the essentials is particularly important for the treatment of sensitive, allergic, and/or irritated skin. For this reason, we do not use preservatives, allergenic perfumes and dyes, or paraffin oils.

Wherever you see Permamed, you can be sure it's “Made in Switzerland.” Every single drop of serum, no matter how small, is produced in-house, is in our hands, and is packed with expertise. This starts with the initial idea and continues long after the preparations have been manufactured. As an independent pharmaceutical company, we also handle delivery to our international partners. Our sales team is in constant contact with medical practices, clinics, pharmacies, and drugstores. We have been working closely with many of them for years—which is typical for a family business. We also organize specialist training events and teaching seminars for our partners.
Through various collaborations with scientific, international institutions, and clinics, we are constantly receiving new impetus for the development and refinement of Permamed. This enables us to make good things even better and better and better.
