Lubex Ichthyol Shampoo is used like a normal shampoo. Massage a sufficient amount of shampoo into the damp scalp and hair. Pay particular attention to the scalp, as this is where the dermatological active ingredients take effect. Leave the shampoo on for a short time and then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. 

The shampoo can be used several times a week as needed. Avoid contact with the eyes. The product is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Do not use the shampoo if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. 

Notes: Use only until the date marked ‘EXP’ on the packaging. Do not ingest. For external use only. Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid the eye area.

How do you use Lubex Ichthyol Shampoo? 

Apply the shampoo to damp hair as you would with normal shampoo. Massage it into your scalp and leave it on for 2–3 minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water. The shampoo is suitable for daily or therapeutic use, ideally after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.

• It also contains conditioner for smooth hair. 

Are there any known side effects or warnings? 

The shampoo is considered well tolerated with no common side effects. For more information on risks, read the package insert or ask at the pharmacy. Do not use on open wounds and discontinue use if intolerance occurs. 

Can it be combined with other products? 

Yes, use alternately with mild care shampoos or after medical treatment. For best results, rinse with conditioner. 

• Only dermatologically tested products guarantee optimal tolerability with prolonged use. 
• Either use a shampoo that already contains a conditioner or use a conditioner after washing your hair. 
• Pay attention to the application times of your shampoo and treat your scalp to a light massage in between. 
• Rinse your hair thoroughly and do not use water that is too hot. There should be no shampoo or conditioner residue left behind. When you run your fingers through your hair after rinsing, it should squeak slightly. 
• Do not blow-dry your hair on a high heat setting. If possible, let your hair dry naturally. 
• Do not scratch an irritated scalp, as this can damage the scalp and cause new, worse irritation. 
• Wash your hairbrushes and combs regularly (e.g. with shampoo). 
• For long hair: 
• Brush or comb your hair before washing to make it easier to detangle afterwards. 
• Brush or comb wet hair very gently to avoid overstretching it.
